The Dripping Springs High School DECA program qualified a schoolrecord seven students for the International Career Development Conference at the DECA state competition March 9-11 in Dallas.
Advancing to the ICDC in April are Aidan Brunner (Automotive Marketing), Evelyn Chis (Apparel & Accessory Marketing), Gabriella Erb (Business Services Marketing), Margot Heltzel (Business Finance), Samantha Heltzel (Hospitality Services), Morgan Rockwood (Hospitality Services) and Jackson Wiedemann (Human Resources Management).
In January, Dripping Springs had a record 47 students qualify for state following a successful district competition. Fifteen students advanced to the state finals in their respective events — also a school record.
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
