DSHS choir earns top ratings at UIL evaluation

Two Dripping Springs High School varsity choirs earned Superior Ratings at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation on Tuesday, March 7 at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center in Kyle.

Two Dripping Springs High School varsity choirs earned Superior Ratings at the UIL Concert and Sightreading Evaluation on Tuesday, March 7 at the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center in Kyle.

The Varsity Treble Choir and the Varsity Mixed Choir collected top scores from all six judges to earn Sweepstakes. Each choir performed three songs in the concert portion of the event and then sang a never-before-seen piece in sightreading.

The Treble Choir performed “Scarborough Fair,” “Hymn to the Dawn” and “Catalina La O” while the Mixed Choir sang “True Colors,” “Psalm 96” and “How Lovely Are the Messengers.”
