Alchemy Organics opens in Dripping Springs

Organic, cold-pressed juices and organic espressos are now available in Dripping Springs.

Alchemy Organics opened Feb. 28 in the Spring Bluff center off US Highway 290 near Anytime Fitness. Not only are juices and superfood blends made while you wait, but home delivery service is also available.

“We deliver our fresh juices and blends in glass bottles when you become a subscriber to our service,” owner Carly Brown said. “Each 16-ounce bottle contains two to three pounds of raw, organic, cold-pressed produce and it is made to order. We don’t treat it with any process that kills good bacteria or enzymes and nutrients like high pressure pasteurization and ultraviolet light. Once you place an order, we buy the produce, wash it, prep it, juice it, bottle it and deliver it to your doorstep.”

The Dripping Springs Alchemy Organics is sister to Brown’s Alchemy Cafe inside the plantbased restaurant, Casa de Luz in Austin. Brown says she and her family moved to Dripping Springs from Austin and found that she needed some place to eat. Thus, Alchemy Organics was born.

People quickly seem to have discovered the new business. Brown said.

“We’ve had people waiting in lines out the front door, so I think people are ready for it,” she explained. “We’re getting a wide spectrum of customers: from pros, who are used to this kind of super nutrition to novices who are just learning about the benefits.”

In addition to plantbased juices, the café offers organic coffee, teas and nut milks. She has recently added açai bowls to the menu.

Brown also offers a monthly talk on the benefits of juicing, sharing her story with others who may also be on healing journeys. Brown, who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2019, initially sought a holistic clinic in Mexico to treat the illness. Two years later, when she and her husband decided to get pregnant with her second child, the cancer returned. This time, she required surgery to remove the diseased gland.

Brown says her nutritional lifestyle is responsible for 80% of her recovery. She chose not to follow surgery with radiation therapy because she believes she is addressing the root cause of the illness.

“One in two men and one in three women will have cancer in their lifetimes,” says Brown. “For a large percentage of those people, it will come back, like it did for me, because it is a systemic disease. If you change the terrain of the body with superfood nutrition, you can get at the root causes of the disease.”

Brown supports her health with other practices such as red-light therapy, hydrogen water, coffee enemas, lymph drainage rebounding, meditation, prayer and by “surrounding myself with likeminded people,” she says. “I started sharing my experience because I found that recovering can be a lonely business at times.”
