Track season officially began when the two Dripping Springs High School track teams entered the Lake Travis Cavalier Invitational.
The format of this meet was a little different in that most of the track events were in the form of relays. This is so more participants can get entered to compete and give the coaches a better idea of how to place the players for the rest of the season. Both teams scored 49 points — which was good for fourth for the Lady Tigers and sixth for the Tigers. Gage Groce headed up the group with a gold medal in the 300 hurdles.
