DSHS Speech & Debate qualifies 19 for state

The Dripping Springs High School speech and debate team qualified a school-record 19 students for the Texas Forensic Association State Tournament after completing their competition season in early February.

The Dripping Springs High School speech and debate team qualified a school-record 19 students for the Texas Forensic Association State Tournament after completing their competition season in early February.

Dripping Springs will be represented in nine events at the state tournament with senior Jake Broyles qualifying in three events to lead the Tigers.

In order to qualify for the TFA state tournament, students must earn at least 10 points, which are awarded by placing at TFA invitational qualifying tournaments. The state competition will be held March 9—11 in Houston.
