The Dripping Springs Women's Club has announced that it will award two scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to deserving female applicants who live in Dripping Springs ISD and plan to attend college this fall.
This year’s scholarships are given in memory of Betty Bendall, Lori Broughton, and Rita DeWinne, three beloved Women’s Club members who exemplified community service. These scholarships are open to young women who attend public or private schools or are home schooled. The deadline is April 7 at midnight, and the scholarship winners will be announced in May.
All applicants must complete the online application form. Incomplete applications will not be considered for a scholarship award. Ideal applicants exhibit excellence in leadership, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success.
“The DSWC is honored to be able to offer two $1000 scholarships to young women who are actively involved in serving the Dripping Springs community,” remarked Kara Kenny, chair of the scholarship committee. “We are committed to investing in young women from the Dripping Springs area, and we believe that every act of community service — even a small one — helps turn the world into a better place.”
Scholarship awards will be made payable directly to the college/university for room, board and tuition. Funds are not payable to the student.
