Roy Dale Pursely

Roy Dale Pursley, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 4, 2022.

Roy was born on July 24,1946, in Austin, Texas to parents Robert and Maxine Pursley. He graduated from McCallum High School in 1964, then he went on to obtain a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Business Administration at the University of Texas at Austin.

After a 13 year career at Texas Instruments Incorporated, Roy left to pursue a career as a selfemployed CPA. He had a very successful 26 year career until his retiremen in 2016.

Roy fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a rancher in 1995 when he made the move to the Pursley Ranch in Dripping Springs, Texas.

He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Maxine Pursley, daughter Jennifer Robertson, and grandson James Robertson.

Roy is survived by his wife of 37 years, Gwenda Pursley of Dripping Springs, Texas, two sons, Will Pursley of Cedar Park, Texas and Glen Pursley of Wimberley, Texas, daughter Virginia Martin of Round Rock, Texas, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pursley Cemetery located eight miles outside of Dripping Springs on Mt. Gainor Road. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

Pastor Jerry Kelley will be officiating. Interment services provided by Harrell’s Funeral Home, 4435 Frontier Trail, Austin, Texas.
