On May 22, CASA of Central Texas celebrated four decades of service with a ribbon cutting ceremony in Wimberley. The event was held in partnership with the Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Dripping Springs Chamber of Commerce to honor the organization’s commitment to children and families across the region.

CASA of Central Texas has proudly served local communities with a mission rooted in compassion, advocacy, and service. In Hays County, they served 92% of the children in foster care last year. Their renewed goal is to serve 100% of the children in foster care in all our counties.

“This celebration is not just about looking back at what we’ve accomplished, but about reaffirming our promise to every child in foster care in our service area,” said CASA CEO Norma Blackwell. “We believe every child deserves access to the support and resources they need to thrive, and we are committed to making that a reality.”

The ceremony brought together community leaders, partners, families, and supporters to honor the legacy of the past 40 years and to energize the vision for the years ahead. With heartfelt speeches, community engagement, and a shared sense of purpose, the event highlighted the power of unity and service to children and families.
